99 Ford Windstar, 3.8. I have plenty of oil in engine but none seems to be getting to upper chambers, clatters.

My 99 Windstar with its 3.8 engine just started to clatter really bad. Checked the oil, had plenty. Looked into the oil filler hole and noticed there was no oil getting up to the heads. Thinking it might be the oil pump. Is it hard to change out? Should I be looking for something else?
